Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello and welcome to our family.
We are four members (two parents and two children). I am French, my husband is Belgian, and we have two children, Léopold (22 months old in July) and Lazare (4 months old in July). We live near the Atlantic coast in a small town with many amenities and a 30-minute bus ride from a large, touristy city.

Job Description

The position involves caring for Léopold and Lazare, Monday to Friday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and one evening per week.
On Wednesday mornings, Léopold is enrolled in a preschool club, which he will be accompanied to, and we will likely enroll Lazare as well.
We hope Léopold will be able to hear other languages, especially English.
We encourage you to try many activities with the children: going for walks, going to the childcare center, cooking, painting, etc.

Accommodation

We live in the town of Marans, which has a population of 5,000 and is well-equipped with basic shops. There's a bus stop 200 meters from the house, which takes you to La Rochelle in 30 minutes. It's a tourist town on the Atlantic coast with many shops and entertainment options, as well as three beaches. We can also lend you a bicycle to explore the region.
We are currently renovating our house. The house is currently laid out as follows:
- On the ground floor: the living room, the dining room, the kitchen, and my office;
- On the first floor: your bedroom and bathroom, a bedroom and bathroom for guests, the family room, and a storage room.
- On the second floor: our bedroom, the boys' bedroom, and our bathroom.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. We also own a sailboat moored in the port of Saint Martin de Ré, where you can stay if you wish to explore this tourist island.
