Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi,

There are four of us, Alice (mum), Mirco (dad), Penelope (9-year.old child) and Zeno (6-year.old child).
We live in Milano but during the summer we spend our time in Viareggio (Tuscany) where we have a large house near the beach where we could host an au-pair.

We are looking for a reliable, polite, outgoing and tidy person who could stay with us at least from 1st August to 1th Septermebr.

I would like my family to have the opportunity to meet people who live outside of Italy.I would also like to practise my English, therefore we expect you to be fluent in English. It doesn’t matter if you don’t speak Italian. I’m sure we will find way to understand each other.

Penelope and Zeno are very nice, quiet kids and they love being with other people.

Job Description

You would be required to take care of them (with me or Mirco) for the whole day.

On occasions, I’ll ask you to take care of the children in the evening. We can decide how to schedule this together. I’m quite a flexible person.

Mirco likes cooking. If you want to he could teach you some Italian recipes. Otherwise you can just enjoy his (excellent) cooking.

Viareggio is a small city located next to the sea in the centre of Italy (60,000 habitants). It’s 60 minutes by train from Florence.

We are a non-smoking family and we prefer to host a person who doesn’t smoke.

Accommodation

You will have a double bedroom and your own bathroom, which you will be required to keep tidy and clean. You will also help me with the housework sometimes.

We have a cleaning lady who comes once a week, so your responsibilities will just be a matter of normal daily cleaning.
