Work abroad in Cédric Sarah's family for 10-18 Months starting from Jun 2024 as an Au Pair to take care of 2 children of 11 - 14 years old in Neuvecelle, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes France

We are not looking for an employee but a person who will help us in everyday life and spend time with us, helping our boys grow up.

I leave for work around 6:30 a.m. My partner too.
You will have to take care of the boys as soon as they wake up around 7 a.m., and support them in their wake-up, breakfast and morning routine.
Normally, they take the school bus (10 minutes walk from the house) around 7:30 a.m. but you may initially accompany them to the bus, on foot.
You may also need to drive them to school (20 minutes) occasionally.

Occasionally, they can come and eat lunch with us under your supervision or have lunchtime appointments.

When they return from school, they return home by bus around 5 p.m.
You may also have to drive to pick them up from school at times.

Afterwards, you will have to follow the snack, and supervise the homework, help them and take them to their activities.
They also need homework support and supervision and methodology.
It is essential that you share these times with them and do the activities with them and not just monitor them.

You will need to monitor and support them in their daily domestic tasks (cleaning their room, making the bed, setting the table, helping around the house, etc.)
For me it is very important that the children do these tasks in order to participate in the life of the home.
If our absence continues, we will have to feed them: which is rare.
You will have to manage the children and their tasks in my absence and this will be done when I return.
At times, teenagers may appear to be “not very operational”. Your role will be to ensure and support them in their tasks.

This for every day of the week.

For Wednesday, my partner works, you will be in charge of the children all day on Wednesdays (no school)

Children are relatively independent in their tasks but they need supervision and support :)

We also ask that you speak to them in English as much as possible.
If you speak another language, this is also a welcome bonus.
We ask you to pay attention to their lesson, English exercises and conversation.
We will also ask the children to do short exercises in English under your supervision so thate you can perfect their learning of the English language because the academic level is very low.

You will also have some light domestic work that the children cannot yet do such as mopping the floor, ... or those that they will not have had time to do

The rest is done by the children.
If you know how to cook that's really good because we do a lot of things ourselves :)

You will have your weekends which does not prevent you from becoming an integral part of the family even when you are not working.
