Dear au pair, for us, living with an au pair is above all an exchange between different ways of living, which must prove beneficial for everyone.

As an au pair, you will have the opportunity to organize yourself as you wish during your free times.
While we will obviously be happy to share our moments of life with you, this will not be an obligation if you prefer to experience adventures of your own.

We will bring you into our family as if you were part of it. Mutual trust and goodwill are therefore important to us.

David was an au pair when he was younger, which allowed him to learn English and will be ready to help you when you arrive.

Job Description

When we both have to work, we will need you to prepare and take Paul to school and Eliott to daycare (school and daycare are 5 minutes away by walking) or pick them up in the evening to feed them and take the bath by the time we got home.

As mentioned, these on-call times are quite hard to define in advance, but David will know long enough before when he will have business trip.

During holidays, if we are still working, we will also need you a bit longer everyday, depending on if we find a place or not for the kids in some local activities.

A little help with basic household chores will be appreciated, without you being our housekeeper. Overall it will be more about participating in common tasks than giving you a list, but we can discuss it so that it is ideal for everyone.

Accommodation

We live in South of France, in Saint Mitre les Remparts (Bouches du Rhône), located a few minutes by bus from medium-sized towns (Martigues, Istres).

Everyone has their own room and you will share the bathroom with the children.
Near the house, you can take some walks (forest), there is a stadium and some children's parks.

We are lucky to have a great diversity of landscapes less than 2 hours drive from us with several regional parks and a national park (Camargue, Alpilles, Calanques, etc...). We also are not that far of good Mediterranean spots.

We will be delighted, if you wish, to help you discover the region together, or simply to guide you if you wish to explore on your own.

We are also located less than an hour from Marseille or Aix-en-Provence, and Paris is only 3 hours away by train. In addition, an international airport will allow you to easily visit some nearby European destinations.

Our schedules will undoubtedly allow you to go on excursions for a few days if you wish.
