Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
My sisters and I are seeking a Polish-speaking caregiver/companion for our elderly father, Andrzej, who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer and needs constant supervision. Andrzej and his wife, Wanda, live in a townhome in Philadelphia, approximately 20-30 minutes away from Center City. Close proximity to plenty of shopping, schools, restaurants, major highways and public transportation.
Job Description
He has a health aide who will assist with personal care and bathing.
He needs assistance with grooming, dressing, changing and eating, and taking medication.
Other duties may include light housework, laundry, or meal preparation.
Providing mobility assistance may be required, for example helping him in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
The Caregiver is expected to provide companionship, take him for short walks, and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
A driver's license is preferred to run local errands, such as the grocery store.
