Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi there! We are a family living near Washington, DC, USA, and are expecting a little girl January 2024. As a household with one native and one non-native German speaker, we're excited for an au pair to help our child (continue) to learn the German language and culture.

Our ideal au pair is someone who is responsible, independent, enjoys working with infants/toddlers, LGBTQ+ inclusive, and likes cats. We hope that an au pair will take the baby out to enjoy all that our area near Washington DC has to offer, which includes a lot of nature and also learning opportunities, during our work day. Prior knowledge or willingness to learn about using the Montessori learning style in the home is a plus.
