Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!

We are two professionals seeking a bilingual Au pair (English-French) for our daughter, Zoë. By that time she will be 1 year old. As we both work full time roles, we are seeking someone who can care for Zoë between 7-8 hours a day while we are working Monday-Friday.

We live in a large home, in a safe and beautiful residential area of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. The ideal candidate would be personable, friendly and respectful with a family-oriented personality and active in extracurricular activities like sports, outdoor activities, music and art - as we are very active in many of these areas.

Job Description

The Au pair would be expected to care for Zoë, including all changing, diapering, extracurricular activities, developmental activities and support during office hours each weekday. The au pair would be expected to take care of breakfast and lunch preparation, feeding and clean up, as well as laundry and cleanup for the baby during their work hours, as required. Work hours would be roughly 7-8 hrs daily and would fall between 8am - 5pm, depending on parental schedules.

The Au pair may also be asked to babysit periodically, but this would not fall within the required responsibility of the role and would be paid separately.
