Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Aupair,
We would love to find somebody whose first language is English. Chiara speaks English only to Bianca and wants the Aupair to do the same for baby two. The Aupair would definitely be required to have a basic knowledge of Italian, not only because Francesco is an upper-intermediate speaker (and not yet an advanced one!) but also - and most importantly - because in Italy (and even more so in Varazze) almost nobody speaks English fluently. You will be required to speak it to move around, to buy groceries, to go to shops, to visit places, etc.
We would also love to find somebody that shares Christian values: respect, love, and cherish others.
Last but not least, we think it is really important for the Aupair to have some kind of professional experience with children, especially little ones: both Bianca and baby 2 will be in difficult stages of life - if you've never dealt with a tantrum of a toddler or with a crying baby for more than the occasional babysitting, this may not be your call.

Job Description

Since we have two children in the house, we usually wake up quite early (around 7), and we have breakfast without daddy, which leaves early (at 5) for work. We then drop Bianca off at the kindergarten at 8.30/9. Francesco comes back home around 3, usually takes a nap, has an hour for himself and then goes to pick Bianca up from school. Together, they could go on a bike ride, to the playground, to visit granny and grampa or to a playdate. Around 7/8, Chiara comes back home and we all have dinner together. Bianca usually goes to bed no later than 8.30. As we said, we love spending time together, and cooking and eating together. In Italy, eating is a big part of the family life. We love to talk over a nice dinner, and share our daily adventures.
BEAR IN MIND that this is the routine we have now, without baby Anna! We are pretty strict about children routines (especially eating and sleeping), and will try our best to raise nr two in a similar way as we did with Bianca.

Accommodation

We have a detached house 5' away from downtown. It has two floors and a private yard. You will have your own room and a bathroom to share with the family. The children and us will not be allowed to go in unless you specifically ask us. Your room will have a queen size bed and a small desk. It will also have a closet.
