Hello!

My name is Senja, a 20-year-old business student from Finland. I’ve completed 85 ECTS credits through the Open University (GPA 4.86/5), and I’m excited to continue my studies officially at university starting in late August.

I enjoy spending time with children and have experience through a short internship at a daycare. I’m responsible, active, and happy to help with both childcare and light household tasks. For me, the most important part of being an au pair is the experience itself – not the salary. I’m eager to contribute to your family’s everyday life with a positive attitude and to learn from this unique opportunity.

I’m available after my entrance exam, from June 5th until August 17th at the latest. I’ll get my apartment on August 1st, and the academic year starts on August 25th, so I’ll need to move in before then.

I am an active, goal-oriented, and organized person who enjoys staying on top of things and making the most of my time. I like to plan and schedule my tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly, which helps me balance my academic responsibilities and personal life.

I’m also very responsible and enjoy helping others, especially children and elderly family members. I assist my 97-year-old great-grandmother with various daily tasks, such as using the restroom, preparing meals, and getting ready for bed. I find joy in taking care of others and contributing to their well-being.

What makes me special is my ability to stay focused on my goals while maintaining a positive attitude and an open mind. I enjoy challenges and always do my best to meet them head-on. My organized nature helps me manage tasks efficiently and allows me to adapt quickly to new environments and situations. I am also social, yet calm and thoughtful, and I tend to think carefully before speaking. Additionally, I’ve traveled extensively, which has taught me a great deal about different religions and cultures, so I’m confident I won’t experience culture shock.

My native language is Finnish, and I am fluent in English, which I recently demonstrated by receiving a grade of 5 (excellent) in my university-level English course. I understand Swedish to a certain degree and can read it, though producing written text in Swedish is more challenging for me.

Additionally, I have basic knowledge of several other languages. I know individual words and numbers in languages such as German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, and Japanese, but my understanding is very limited to simple vocabulary.
