Dear host family,

My name is Anya, and I am 22 years old. I am currently studying for a bachelor's degree in sociology and will soon graduate. I have an interest in cinema and photography, and I often volunteer.
I first learned about the Au Pair program while I was in school and have been eager to become involved ever since!

Why do I want to be an au pair? First and foremost, I truly love children. I have a younger brother, who is 8 years old, and I used to spend a lot of time looking after him before I went to Moscow to study. Therefore, I believe it would be very interesting for me to spend time with children as an Au Pair :) Secondly, I am eager to explore a new culture and live in a new place. I want to learn from other people's experiences and share mine with them. As I am about to graduate from university, before looking for a full-time job, I wish to gain valuable life experience and find my passions. It seems to me that this program would be perfect for that!

Why do I think I am suitable for this position? To begin with, I can describe myself as kind, sensitive, caring, and responsible person. I have experience working with children, as 1) I often looked after my brother and stayed alone with him, and 2) for the past few years, I have visited orphanages and helped organize various recreational activities for children there. Additionally, I truly enjoy cooking, so I would be happy to prepare meals for the entire family! But most importantly, I believe it would be a fun and interesting experience for the children and for me to spend time together. I could teach them how to take photos with a film camera. We could come up with a story for a movie and shoot it together using a video camera. We could learn to draw using tutorials on YouTube or create something out of clay together. Also, I guess it would be fun to read Harry Potter together or watch cute animation "Over the garden wall". I can also teach the children how to bake chocolate chip cookies and other delicious treats :) In general, I am eager to come up with creative and useful activities for the children in order to get to know them better and have an enjoyable time together!
