Dear host family,
My name is Pailin. I come from Bangkok, Thailand. I have participated in the 7 Stars Childcare Provider Training Program by International Preschool. I am a teaching assistant, working closely with teachers and children aged 1-6 years old for 535 hours. Furthermore, I have a little brother who is 8 years old, and I have had experience taking care of him since he was born. I can cook some Thai food. And I can help with light housework. I can swim. Moreover, I have a driver's licence from Thailand. I intend to use my experience in childcare to work as an au pair. I'm ready to take care of your children and deliver smiles to your family :)
I’m a fourth-year student at Thammasat University in the faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. I will graduate in January 2024. I had abroad job experience in 2022 at SeaWorld Orlando, Florida, USA, in the position of Public Area Attendant. When I do internship, I work at Club Lounge of The Sukhothai Bangkok Hotel in front office department. Even this work is not related to my faculty, I decided to work there because I want to gain new experience in hospitality and speak English with foreigners. Those jobs need to meet with other people, so that’s improved my communication and management skills very well.
My first language is Thai. My second language is English. I learned English in school and practiced it by myself by listening to songs or watching series. I think the most important way to improve language is to listen and say. So, I always talk to myself in English and speak English with my sister sometimes. I got 7 out of 10 on the English communication test with the agency before I went to the US. I spend time there to work and travel for 9 weeks in the summer. After I come back to Thailand, I think my English skills is better.
I learned German at level A1.1, and I intend to get an A1 level German certificate from Goethe Institut before I become an au pair. Moreover, I get a certificate from the Foundation of Spain for Communication. And I apply a French Language and Culture for Tourism online course as well. I’m interested in studying early childhood or working with children in the future. I think being an au pair will give me more exposure to working with children. Moreover, I would like to improve my language skills and exchange cultures. Most importantly, living abroad in every season is one of my dreams.
I’m an adaptable person, and I’m ready to learn a new thing. I’m a cheerful person and smile easily. For my attitude, I realised that nothing will stand forever. I understand that something’s happened, and someday it will end no matter what I want or not. Something that I mean is both happiness and sadness. When I feel down, I tell myself that everything will be okay. It will pass and it will be better. So, be happy and be kind to other people. Furthermore, I’m a person who really likes to take pictures or videos because I think that’s a good way to keep my memory?. And I like outdoor activities. I can cook some Thai food for example, Tom-Yam, Thai curry and Thai potato soup recipes from my mom. And I can help with light housework. I can swim. Moreover, I have a driver's licence from Thailand. I love to traveling natural places. And I am interested in history and architecture. One thing that stands out to me is my smile. Therefore, I hope we can share smiles with each other :)
