Letter to the family

Hi there!
My name is Annabelle; I'm 22 years old and have lived in Brisbane, Australia, my entire life.
Known affectionately as "Little Miss Sunshine" among my colleagues, I produce a contagious zest for life, always seeking out the silver linings. Raised in a warm household alongside my Mum, Dad, and older Brother, I've embarked on a journey of independence over the past two years, relishing the joy of creating cherished memories with dear friends.
My heart beats for the nurturing and care of children, which is why I'm drawn to the role of an Au Pair/Nanny. I find immense fulfilment in enriching the lives of others and am at my best when surrounded by smiles. Children embody qualities I deeply admire—creativity, curiosity, and compassion—qualities I aim to foster and celebrate.
Should I have the privilege of joining your family as an Au Pair, expect nothing short of boundless love, encouragement, and positivity. From ensuring the children are well-fed, groomed, and safely transported to their activities, to lending a hand with household tasks, I am fully committed to lightening your load and enriching your daily routines.
Fun and adventure are always on the agenda under my care, with screen time reserved for educational pursuits or cozy movie nights together. I am dedicated to crafting unforgettable moments and nurturing lasting bonds with your family.
My aspiration extends beyond simply fulfilling a job description; I envision immersing myself in the cultural tapestry of your lives while leaving a lasting, positive imprint on your family dynamic.

Experience

During the past five years, I've had the privilege of providing care within the National Disability Insurance Scheme, working closely with two individuals and one remarkable family.
Initially, I had the pleasure of supporting an intellectually disabled male and female, where my role transcended of caregiving—it was about infusing their lives with positivity and companionship. From attending to their general care needs to venturing out for enriching experiences, every moment felt less like work and more like spending time with cherished friends.
Transitioning into a full-time carer position for a family with two autistic children, aged 10 and 12, marked the next chapter of my journey. From dawn until bedtime, I immersed myself in their world, ensuring they started their day on the right foot and ended it with a sense of accomplishment. Whether it was facilitating healthy routines, chauffeuring them to afternoon activities, or simply being their biggest cheerleader, I embraced every part of my role with unwavering dedication.
Beyond the confines of my scheduled hours, I willingly extended my support, escorting them to events and embarking on weekend escapades, treating them not just as clients but as an extension of my own family. Through patient guidance and encouragement, I empowered them to master essential life skills, from personal hygiene to academic pursuits, fostering their independence and self-confidence along the way.
