Letter to the family

Hey! my name is Larissa, I’m a 28-year-old Brazilian currently living in the United States. I’m passionate about education, different cultures, and creating meaningful connections wherever I go. I would describe myself as a positive, caring, and responsible person who values kindness, communication, and the small joys of everyday life. In my free time, I love being outdoors, reading, and spending time with people who make life feel lighter.

Becoming an Au Pair or sharing a home with an elderly person feels like a beautiful opportunity to build real bonds through everyday life. I’m drawn to experiences where I can offer care, companionship, and also learn from other generations' stories and wisdom. I believe that these moments of exchange enrich both sides in ways that go far beyond words. For me, it’s not just about fulfilling a role — it’s about being present, offering support, and making a genuine difference in someone’s life.

If you decide to welcome me into your home, you’ll find someone who is respectful, attentive, and easy to be around. I believe that trust, empathy, and clear communication are the foundation of any good relationship, and I carry those values with me in everything I do. I’m reliable, considerate, and truly excited to share this experience with a family or an individual who values connection and kindness.

My background working with children and supporting families has taught me patience, flexibility, and a deep sense of responsibility. Living abroad has made me even more independent and open-minded, ready to embrace new routines and cultures with enthusiasm. I would be honored to bring my care, dedication, and positive spirit into your home, and to share this chapter of life together.

Experience

Over the past few years, I have gained valuable experience working closely with children and families, supporting them with care, patience, and a deep sense of responsibility. Although my experience has mostly been with young children, I believe the skills I’ve developed — such as active listening, empathy, adaptability, and offering emotional support — are qualities that naturally translate into sharing a home with an elderly person as well.

My time living abroad has taught me how meaningful it is to build bonds across cultures and generations. It showed me how much we can learn from one another when we are willing to listen, care, and share daily life together. That is one of the reasons why I would love to continue this journey abroad — to connect with new people, offer companionship and practical support, and create memories built on kindness and mutual respect.

I believe that both being an Au Pair and sharing a home with an elderly person are about much more than helping with routines; they are about presence, trust, and making each day a little lighter and more joyful. I would feel truly honored to be part of someone’s life story in such a meaningful way.
