Dear host family,

I am very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Patricia. I am 47 years old and from Lusaka, Zambia. I live with my children, Kayla (14) , Jayden (12), Gabriel (8), and Tamira (6) . I have been divorced for 3 years now. My ex and I have shared custody. You might be wondering who will take care of the kids when I leave, my ex husband will. He is a loving father, and I always have family between my siblings and my mother in law, they are in good hands.
Kayla is currently attending the 10th grade of secondary school. Overall, we are a pretty large family,
I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my kids. They are my family and very important to me. Always trying to help, I’m always there for them .
In my free time, I like to listen to music, go shopping or dance. My kid and I do a lot of things together. I'm also their tutor when it comes to homework. Furthermore, I enjoy reading a good book and volunteering at the hospice looking after the elderly .
I am a service-focused, compassionate, and patient healthcare professional
offering excellent patient-care and communication skills. I am talented at
attending to patients in diverse healthcare settings and always ready to help my team achieve company goals. Other skills I possess are interpersonal skills,
excellent time management and problem-solving skills.I've been working with the elderly for years, including taking care of my both my aged grandparents whom I helped look after until they departed from us. It was an honour looking after them. I'm also very organized, and I know how to handle difficult situations.
At the moment, I work as a healthcare assistant for loving Touch Home Healthcare. Delivering first world-class service to our patients. I enjoy this job very much because I am able to bond with many of my patients and help them with activities of daily living.
In the past three years, I have taken care of children and the elderly, I have learnt that safeguarding is the most important in both adults and children and in vulnerable individuals.
The reason why I want to go to Luxembourg or Europe as nanny or elderly carer is that I want to get to know and experience other cultures, learn new languages as well as make a better living for my children. Most importantly, it would be a great chance to spend an entire year or two taking care of children or the elderly. And of course, it would be great to improve my German skills as well.
