Letter to the family

Hi there!

My name is Hailey, I'm 18 and I've always had a passion for caregiving for elderly and youth. It started when I got the opportunity to be a teacher's assistant for a summer. I took care of children ages 4-6 and absolutely loved it. I became very fond of all my students and still visit a lot of them to this day. I also worked as a caregiver at a specialized memory care facility for over seven months. I am very experienced in different behaviors, diapers, patience, cooking, and best of all giving all my care and love to someone. I'd love to be a part of your family this summer and learn about different cultures. I am hardworking, kind, extroverted, and adventurous. This is what my last boss had to say about my work:

"Although Hailey seemed a little apprehensive when our behaviors were explained during her interview, she jumped in with both feet and has been a valuable asset from day one. She gets along wonderfully with all of our residents and performs care with professionalism and kindness. We have three halls in our community (South, North and West), and depending on which hall she is assigned for the day her duties include caring for up to 11 residents with another caregiver. Tasks performed consist of getting residents up, changing briefs, dressing, showering, feeding and engaging with residents. If assigned to South, she keeps up with all of the laundry. When she is on core (the common area where most residents congregate and where most behaviors can occur, Hailey's job is to make sure residents stay hydrated, have non-slip socks on, cleans, prevents and intervenes resident to resident or resident to staff altercations, and makes sure residents are not at risk of falling or getting out of their wheelchairs when they do not have the ability to walk. Hailey always has a smile on her face and a willingness to work and be compassionate."

I'm very excited to help your family and get to know you! Hope to be in contact with you soon!
