Letter to the family

Hi Host Family! Hi kids!
My name's Sofia, I’m your future au pair from Italy. I'm very happy to have the opportunity and be able to write this letter for you to know my life a little more!
I'm 22 years old, I live in a small town in Tuscany, Italy.
I still live at home with my mum, 3 sisters and 2 cats. I would love talking more about them during our calls.
Do you want to know why I want to become an Au Pair? There are several reasons but the most important reason, of course, is that I really love children. I love seeing how they develop and learn new things every day.
I want to meet new people, with different personalities since I feel like that would help me with my life going on. Kids make me feel grateful, happy and I feel really comfortable around them.
Anyway, I already have experience with kids: I was an aupair few years ago in a wonderful family in California and I’ve done volunteering in a kindergarten in New Zealand, so I know what it means staying home taking care of children! I also want to grow as a person, I want to be more mature and I want to improve all my skills.
It's so hard to write about oneself, I wuold like to describe myslef and my interests a lot better than as I did, but I don't want to bore you. I really want to talk to you and your kids, so that we can get know us better and hopefully we will discover that we are perfect for each other!  If you want to know more about me, don't hesitate and contact me,it will be great talking with you!!

Experience

I had several experiences abroad: I was in California for two months in 2017; then I spent 6 months in New Zeland with a study program; I also worked in London for a few weeks and did some study programs in France and England as well; furthermore I spent last year abroad due to two Erasmus Programs (one in Lisbon, PT and the other one in Hanoi, VN).
I also used to volunteer as a paramedic: here in Italy, anyone from 16 years or older can volunteer as a paramedic on an ambulance. I also worked during the summer at home when I was not abroad: for example, I helped her mom with her vineyard.

So, as mentioned before in 2017, I was in the United States where I was hosted by a family that her parents knew too. To thank them for their hospitality, I helped them with their 4 kids. In fact, I really felt like an Au Pair too. This is why I really know what my future host family may look like: I just would love them to be open minded and willing to spend some quality time with me. I am always willing to help them with the kids even if I’m off duty.
During her free time, I am planning to travel but also volunteer and play sports, if possible.
