Letter to the family

Hi!
My name is Ajda and I am 22 years old. I come from a small town in Slovenia. I am currently finishing my studies at University of Ljubljana. I have only 1 year left before I become teacher for children with special needs. Before I complete my education and go into the real world, I want to experience living abroad and taking care of a child from a different culture. Learning about child development for 4 years straight has given me a lot of knowledge and insight into behaviour, feelings and communication of different children. During my studies I have also worked with many children different ages that have some weakness and positive qualities. My opinion is that every child deserves healthy, loving and safe space to develop. I feel that I can be that for someone. So, I am looking for a family who is open to accept me as a member of their family.

Experience

I have never been an Au pair before, but I do have a lot of experience in being a nanny. For the past 2 years I had been a babysitter for 2 families (4 children total; ages from 3 to 8). While being a babysitter I made sure that every child felt safe and loved while being cared for from me. It is important to me that I spend quality and active time with children I care for. Most of the time we spent in nature where we explored our surroundings. I also loved to do arts and crafts, as these activities allow children to develop their creativity. Of course, I also loved to play with children their favourite games.
