Letter to the family

Hi,

I am Kathleen, a recent college graduate looking to see the world and go on an adventure! For the past year since graduating from university, I have worked as a nanny to an infant and loved it, but have had the goal to travel before settling into a career. Being an Au Pair seems like the perfect way to utilize my skills as a childcare worker and my warm personality to get to see the world.

I love kids and have always had a job centered around taking care of them from being a camp counselor, swim teacher, lifeguard, and babysitter in high school and middle school to being a daycare worker in college and now a nanny.

I am very easy to get along with and outgoing. I am eager to learn and embrace new cultures and am quick to jump in and adapt. I would love to work for your family and I think I would be a great addition for the summer.

Experience

I would love to become an Au Pair abroad because it is a job I know I would be well suited to and it seems like an adventure!

I think it is so special to get to see a country through being integrated with a family as opposed to being a tourist. Especially, a place as special as Ireland. I have family roots there and have dreamt of being able to visit. Being an Au Pair would be a way for me to even further connect with this special place and really feel a part of the community.
