Sky (22 / Ms. ), American, Student - Social Science living in USA looking for Au Pair job in Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Italy & Netherlands for 2-12 Months

I have a lot of experience working with and taking care of children. I absolutely love kids and being around them! I have been a babysitter in St. Louis for a year, and I have taken care of children from a a few months old to 12 years old. I babysit anywhere from 5-15 hours per week right now.
I was a lifeguard for four years, which has given me skills in water safety and first aid. I taught swim lessons for young children for two summers. After my second year in college, I was a swim coach (I grew up swimming) for a team with children ages 3-18. Getting to see my swimmers improve so much and be a role model for them throughout the summer brought me so much joy.
After my first year of college, I worked at a summer camp in North Carolina where I was a cabin counselor and swim instructor. In this role, I lived in a cabin with girls ages 7-10 for a three week period and then a five week period. I was in charge of making sure they took care of themselves and kept the cabin clean. I taught swim lessons to all the campers.
I feel like I have a unique ability to connect with children. I love seeing the world through their eyes and watching them learn, and I love learning from them. I want to be an au pair abroad because I think there is a lot of value in learning about new cultures and languages.
