Letter to the family

Dear Host Family,

My name is Andrea, I am a Canadian citizen, and I will be arriving to Spain in April through a Working Holiday Visa (Canada-Spain Agreement), and I am open to go to other countries in Europe as well.
I enjoy painting, hiking, tennis and immersing myself in different cultures. I am fluent in English and Spanish.

I would love to know different families, their dynamic, and help take care of their little ones in exchange of experiencing their culture, learning new skills and making profit for my future endeavors.
I enjoy spending time outside with the kids exploring (nature walks, museums, parks, etc.). I believe having a routine is important for the children, while also letting them be spontaneous and creative throughout each day’s activities.

I am currently available the last two weeks of May (16th- 31st) and last two weeks of June (18th-30th). My dates are currently flexible starting August.
I am hoping for short-term childcare (1-5 weeks), but I am open to discuss longer terms.

Experience

I have 10 years of experience in Childcare. I have worked as a live-in nanny for four different families (two in Ottawa and two in Victoria BC), and I have been an occasional babysitter for other families as well.
I managed an Out-of-School care and Summer Camps in an Elementary school with up to 25 kids, between 5-12 years-old. I have also worked one-on-one with special needs children.
I have done CPR+First Aid Certification.

I would love to give companionship to elderly people who are lacking that. I enjoy talking and hearing stories from older generations, and seeing how happy it makes them to be heard and having someone to share their time with.
