We recently hosted a Scottish girl (tutor acle) for two weeks and we really liked the experience.
We are a family of 4 and we live in Piedmont, in a small town on the Monferrato hills. Turin and Milan are around an hour away by car.
The location is central of the city, nearest to train station(not more than 20 minutes walking) and near to hospital and other services such as Language school .
