Hello! We are looking for an Irish live in home sharer/au pair for our lovely father who was recently diagnosed with hydrocephalus/dementia. The home itself is located in a very desirable suburb of D.C. called Del Ray, Alexandria and is a short walk to all neighborhood restaurants, bars, library, cafes, and public transportation. 15 minute drive to D.C., 10 minute drive to Old Town.

We are seeking someone who can live full time at the house and perform some very light housekeeping such as very light meal prep/tea, plant watering and bringing in the mail, taking out the trash.. that sort of thing. The actual elderly care portion is very light- he has caretakers from 7am-10pm, 7 days a week and is at a day center M-F during the late morn/afternoon. We just require a house sharer be available to live-in, and be available to wake up and tend to an emergency, in the unlikely event that one should arise. We'd love someone to live at the house full time, but would require 5 nights/week of definitely being there (you'd have your own room/bathroom upstairs...wouldn't require you to stay awake at all, just to be available and in the house during those hours. He's been sleeping solidly through the night however, so this is more as a safe guard.

My brother and I are looking for someone to begin as soon as possible- we live in NYC and DC, and aren't able to be there as much as we wish we could. We hope to hear from you!!
