Work abroad in Charles's family for 10-14 Months starting from Apr 2023 as an Au Pair to take care of 2 children of 1 - 5 years old & 6 - 10 years old in Sterling, Virginia USA

We're expecting you to take care of two toddlers from 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Often this would be more like 8:30 am to 5:30pm, but some days in the office are longer than others.

Good English is expected, as my youngest needs more practice for speech development. English is important, but the kids also speak some Mandarin and I speak some French and Mandarin.

Obviously patience and empathy are key to handling toddlers who can't communicate very well. And we expect an au pair to use their curiosity to make teaching moments. We believe in positive reinforcement for good behavior and not in punishment for the bad.

Please remember to update your profile to meet US visa requirements. Visa applicants are expected to stay at least 12 months, have 500 hrs of childcare experience, a drivers license, meet minimum English proficiency, be between 18 and 26 years of age, unmarried and with no children. No matter how awesome you are, I can't change what they need to see on paper.
