Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our home! We live in Long Beach, New York which is an awesome beach community about 45 minutes outside of New York City. We are ten blocks from the boardwalk and the beach so if you like being close to the ocean, this a great place to live! It is a quiet town where you can ride bikes everywhere with great restaurants, yoga studios, gyms, a movie theater and plenty to do right here in town. We are also 45 minutes by train or car in to New York City. The Long Island Railroad takes you right from Long Beach to Penn Station so it's a very easy trip into the city. We are also close to other beautiful places on Long Island, the wineries and farms of the North Fork and the Hamptons. We are a two hour drive to the beautiful Hudson Valley in upstate New York which has so much wonderful hiking, beautiful mountains, ski resorts, wineries, farms, apple orchards and cute little towns.

Job Description

My kids go to school Monday through Friday so mostly the hours will be mornings helping to get them ready for school and then the afternoons when they get back from school, driving them to activities, helping with homework, dinner and occasional bedtime. Other than that, just helping to keep the boys spaces neat and helping to do their laundry And helping to walk the dogs. If it is a school holiday or closure for some reason or if one of my kids is sick then you would need to stay home with them during the day. (Unless I am able to) But if not, for the most part, school hours will be your own free time.
