Paula is very outgoing and personable. She engaged fully in life with our family and in Ireland, she provided great support to our family in looking after our elderly father, and she made some great friendships. While Paula's English language skills may have been basic when she first came to Ireland, her bubbly personality meant that she was able to communicate even when she couldn't find the right words! A year later, Paula leaves Ireland with a really good grasp of English, and some uniquely Irish sayings! Paula demonstrated a real affection for Dad, provided him with great companionship, and tended well to his needs. It was an absolute pleasure having Paula, we wish her all the best on her next great adventure, but we hope that she will remember her time with us in Ireland fondly and come back to visit us in the future! We found AuPair.com a very useful tool for finding adventurers who are interested in experiencing life in Ireland whilst supporting our family and Dad's visiting caregivers to ensure that he can age at home... the only place that he wants to be. The filters are really helpful for eliminating those who are unsuitable for reasons such as lack of English language skills or lack of a legal entitlement to work in Ireland (visa/ work permit).

Amazing, exciting, unforgettable. I was fortunate to live with friendly, kind, and familiar people. It was my first experience as an Au Pair, and I couldn't ask for more. I went abroad to improve my English. I ended up attending a college and volunteering at a second-hand clothing store. Most importantly, I learned how to be a big sister to two wonderful children.

Sylwia was our au pair for several months. What can I say about her? Sylwia is a fantastic young woman—very communicative, full of enthusiasm and energy, always smiling and cheerful. She was eager to play with the children, while also being mature, responsible, resourceful, organized, and level-headed. Sylwia took care of our three-year-old daughter, and I had absolutely no hesitation leaving the two of them alone, even for many hours if needed. I always felt confident that my child was in the best possible hands. Sylwia has a great understanding of children's needs—both physical, such as when a child is hungry, wants to play, or needs to use the bathroom, and emotional, like when a child needs a hug, wants to talk, craves closeness, or on the contrary—needs space and time alone. Sylwia was an enormous support not only in caring for our child, but also in daily life—helping to tidy shared spaces, assisting with grocery shopping, preparing meals, or taking the dog for a walk. I am very happy with both Sylwia and the Aupair.com platform, through which I met such a wonderful person. It was a pleasure to host her in our home for several months, and we still keep in touch to this day. Sylwia is not only an experienced au pair, but also a great person—someone truly worth staying connected with.
