Letter to the family

Hi, my name is Sophie :) I am a 24 year old from sunny Glasgow, Scotland. Currently, I am working as a freelance designer since I graduated with an honours degree in fashion. I am friendly, reliable and hard-working person looking for a host family and I would love to be your next au pair.

After 2 years as a freelance worker, I have been interested in taking a career break. As much as I love the exciting and glamorous fashion industry, I am looking to take on the new challenge of working as an au pair! As someone who likes to keep busy, I see this as an opportunity to recharge my batteries whilst using my time doing something new.

I would appreciate becoming your family's au pair as I enjoy bonding with new people and exploring new cities/towns as well as immersing myself other cultures, cuisines and languages.

Experience

Since I was a teenager, I have worked as a babysitter as a second job. I have babysat for family, friends and neighbour's children of all ages. I found the role of being a babysitter was a fun yet challenging experience. From a young age, it taught me how to be responsible for other people and how to be patiently regimented. Through this time, I found out how joyous it is to have children in your life, and I would love to have experience this again.

As an au pair, I would be comfortable with a number of responsibilities such as carrying out the children's general morning and night time routines, cooking, playing games and basic household chores. If the child needs to be taken to school/activities during my stay and needs to be transported then I would also be comfortable with taking on that responsibility. Any other additional responsibilities you would need from me, I would be happy to discuss further!
