Tatum (20 / Ms. ), American, Teacher living in USA looking for Au Pair & Nanny job in France, Italy, Norway, Sweden & Switzerland for 1-11 Months

Dear Host Family,

My name is Tatum, I am 20 years old and I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I currently live with my parents and my 18 year old sister. I am a full time substitute teacher at a Montessori school with students aged 18 months to 14 years old. I also work in the after school program with the 3-6 year olds. Building meaningful relationships with each student on campus brings me so much joy, and learning to manage a classroom has given me great experience in handling the large range of emotions children experience.

I am so excited to have the opportunity to au pair abroad! My sister is two years younger than me, and as long as I can remember I've been begging my parents to have another kid so I could have another younger sibling. One of the things that draws me to the au pair experience is becoming a part of your family! I look forward to building lasting relationships with you and your children. I love teaching so much and I know through au pairing I will be able to learn so much about other ways of teaching and raising children. I am a very kind, nurturing person and I enjoy having fun and playing with children. I also love to laugh, so I know we will have fun together as a family!

As an au pair, I would love to spend time on arts and crafts with your children. I love to crochet and knit, and I have spent lots of time preparing craft activities for the children at school. I enjoy spending time outside; I hike almost daily and when it's warm out I go kayaking. It is so important for children to spend time outside and build a connection to nature.
