Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are looking for a kind au pair to help us look after Martha, Daniel and Lydia mainly before and after pre-school/school. At the weekend my husband and I will usually take care of the children.

Our au pair will help get the children ready in the morning, help look after them after pre-school/school, with bedtime and during the school holidays.

Daniel and Lydia attend Primary school five days a week. Martha will be attending pre-school four days a week from September 2023.

We will also need our au pair to babysit the children sometimes.

We would like to host an au pair who can commit to joining us for at least six months and ideally a year. Our au pair will need to have pre-settled status or be eligible for/have a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa. We can help with the visa process.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Job Description

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and patient au pair to help us look after our daughters Martha and Lydia and our son Daniel and help them enjoy life. Martha will be 3, Lydia 7 and Daniel 9. We are looking for au pair to start between October and early December 2023.

Martha is a very happy, enthusiastic and affectionate toddler. She is enjoying exploring the world. She likes swimming, play centres, bath time, singing, reading books and going to the playground. She is a little chatterbox!

Lydia is a very happy, kind and caring little girl. She really enjoys playing games especially imaginative play, reading books, singing, dancing, bath time, trampolining and swimming. She also likes going to the park/playground.

Daniel is disabled. He has a genetic condition which means he has a developmental delay, so we are looking for an au pair who can help Daniel maximise his potential.

Daniel is a contented little boy who loves squeaky/musical toys, listening to music, people singing and reading stories, sensory play, bouncing games, going on the trampoline, bath time and swimming. He also loves going for walks in his buggy and going on the swing in our garden. He also enjoys walking at home or in the park. Daniel really enjoys his food.

Family Description

We are a warm and sociable family living on the outskirts of the vibrant city of Manchester. We will encourage our au pair to get the most out of his/her stay, both with socialising and travelling. Our au pair is always welcome to join us on family days out.

My husband is a civil servant at an energy safety regulator. He works around an hour's drive away from home but is mainly working from home currently. My husband works full time. I work 3.5 days a week as a market research manager in Central Manchester/from home.

We live in an area called Hale where there are lots of au pairs. Hale has some lovely shops, cafés, restaurants, a few bars and pubs. A gym, ice rink and swimming pool are within walking distance. There are excellent public transport links into the centre of Manchester, where there are fantastic shops, cool bars, pubs, cafés and restaurants. There are many interesting things to see and do in Manchester including cinemas, theatres, museums, live music venues, parks and art galleries. There is a China Town which has great Chinese food and the famous Curry Mile; Indian food centre.
