Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
We are looking for someone to live with us so that she can discover a new culture, and to look after our children after school.
We think it's very important for our children to be exposed to another culture and language. As a result, our children go to a school that speaks English.
So when we travel, we swap homes and are delighted to discover new people and new places.
We love going to the beach, sharing good meals and enjoying our friends and family.
We live in Vannes, a medium-sized town in Brittany.
Brittany is a region with its own culture: language (which we don't speak), culinary specialities, dances, costumes and landscapes that change according to the weather.
Our neighbourhood is quiet and well located. We're a 15-minute walk from the town centre or a 5-minute bike ride. There's a bus that goes right by the house. There are shops nearby, as well as a library and swimming pool.
We are 5km from the first beach.
We can easily visit towns such as Lorient, Nantes and Rennes by train. Paris is within easy reach for a weekend: 2h15 by high-speed train.
We will ask the person to have a driving licence, as the girls will need to be taken to their activities on Wednesdays.

Job Description
We expect you to participate in our family life, for example by sharing meals with us. Why not prepare them together too, so that we can both discover new dishes.
We will ask you to clean your room and your bathroom regularly.
We prefer a person who like to make creative activities (draw, paint...) and outside activities (bike, walk, go to the beach...).
As for your chores, you'll be looking after the children on Wednesdays. You'll have to play with them, take them to their activities (by car or bike) and look after their lunches. (5h / week)
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings: you'll have to collect the children from school and look after them for 2hours (give them a snack, play with them, help with their homework, etc.) (8 h / week)
One evening during the week, you will have to look after them for 2h30 (to be agreed together) (2h30 / week)
- 3 hours cleaning the children's belongings (washing their clothes, tidying and cleaning their rooms)
Once a month, you will have to look after them on Friday evenings from 6pm to 11pm.
The rest of the hours will be variable, but will not exceed the maximum number of 25 hours.
For all this, we are offering 80euros / week. We pay for your telephone package.

The whole upstairs has been renovated: the floors are cork, the bathrooms are new, and it's beautifully decorated.
We have a garden, with a veranda for the spring evenings and a terrace for the summer.
One of the bedrooms has its own shower and washbasin. The room will be equipped according to your needs (bed 2 places, TV...) The toilets will be to share with the children on the same floor or on the ground floor.
