Hello everyone¡, we are excited to continue enjoying the aupair experience, we are a couple (with two children) who lives in Vilafranca del Penedès near Barcelona city (50 km away). Vilafranca is a beautiful town surrounded by vineyards of a sparkling wine called cava and Catalan traditions such as castellers.

We live close the old town, less than 10 minutes walking and 15 minutes walking from the bus and train station (1 hour to Barcelona by train) and 20 minutes by car from coastal towns such as Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltru, Cunit, Cubelles, Comarruga.

We have lived away from home for some time, Angel (U.K. and the Netherlands) and Sara (U.S.A.) so we know what it means to be away from home and we empathize in that sense with the au pair, that is why our goal is to make the stay as comfortable and enriching as possible

Job Description

The children go to school (Nil) and kindergarten (Queralt), the important duty ,not every day, is to take them and bring them home and spend time playing with them exchanging spanish-english knowledge with them. Because of work, sometimes we have little time.

While they are in school/kindergarten, the au pair can have free time for whatever they need.Due to the work of Angel who works shifts (even Saturdays and Sundays and morning,afternoon and night shifts) and Sara who works from Monday to Friday, we have more detailed information about it in a PDF, you can ask us. Our idea is not to delegate the care of the little ones, all help is welcome, the important thing is that at specific times you can entertain, play and learn. We consider it important that the objective as an au pair is clear and that is to enjoy the experience on both sides.

Accommodation

The house is a three-bedroom duplex close to the old town.

The au pair's is at the main entrance, next to a full private bathroom that will be shared ocassionally by the childrens (the parents use the upstairs bathroom), the common areas are the living room, kitchen, a small terrace and at the top a larger terrace that you can enjoy, in the room there is a good wifi signal, as well as heating and a ceiling fan , smart tv (with Disney +,Amazon Prime, Netflix and Movistar plus),there is also a big mirror, study chair and a folding table to study or use the laptop, we can provide you one. Everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible :)
