Letter to the family

Hello future host family ☺️ its a plesure to meet you ? my name is Trissa from the Philippines ?? and currently an au pair here in the east part of Iceland ?? specifically in the town of Egilsstaðir a countryside location here. I have been living with a lovely family of five for 8 months now consisting of the Host parents the kids (one girl and two boys) ages 12,9, and 6 and also with their pets píla the dog and branður the cat. Its been an amazing journey being with them . my tasks here are as follows:
- cleaning the house everyday
- walking the dog
-making snacks for the middle child and helps him read and write since he has ADHD so he needs assistance from time to time
- feeding the dog (sometimes)
- laundry
- babysitting
- and making dinners
But time flies so fast and my contract with them will end soon and I wanted to continue being an au pair to help more host families with their day to day lives and also i wanted to learn cultures in capital areas. Hope to hear from you soon.

Experience

Its been an exciting journey being an au pair here in the east i've got to learn more about the icelandic culture and experience it myself. We ofter go to farms and cut lambs , feed horses, ride in atv's , getting to know more icelandic peoples and learn life lessons from them. its great to be with filipino's around the area and it feels like home always. I love my host family so much they are not very showy of their emotions but they are always trying hard to make me feel loved and belonged to their family. I do enjoy playing with the kids also and talking teenage thing with the eldest child . its like having a sister and a bestfriend at the same time. all in all i enjoyed my first experience here as an au pair.
