How to become an Au Pair in Denmark?

The requirements for an Au Pair in Denmark are identical for applicants from EU and Non-EU countries. Firstly check, if you fulfil the following requirements:
  • You are at least 18, but not older than 29 (in case of the citizens of Canada, the maximum age may reach 35 - read more about the visa regulations)
  • You are not and you have never been neither married, nor in any other registered relationship 
  • You don’t have children
  • You have knowledge of either Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English or German
  • You have not been a participant more than once before
  • You have not had a Danish residence permit before
  • You have not been an Au Pair in Denmark for more than a year in the past years
  • You are not related to any of your prospective Host Family members.
