9 Tips for a successful AuPair.com Profile
 

1. Make sure your profile is filled in completely. Fill in all the blanks, so that interested people immediately get to know what you will be expecting from your Au Pair. 
    
2. Give the right information and be honest. It is of no use, if your profile only contains false information. They could make the profile and hence the family more attractive, but in the end it will lead to a disappointing and unsuccessful Au Pair stay so don't forget to explain what the role of your Au Pair will be like.
    
3. Be flexible with your searching criteria. You shouldn´t restrict the length of the stay, countries and others too much, since this way not only your choice of recommended Au Pairs will be limited, but also you will be contacted by less people.
    
4. Fill in the free text boxes, meaning the Dear Au Pair letters and descriptions and add lots of information, without the text becoming too boring or long. These free descriptions are a chance to present yourself in the best way. A good and interesting text will tempt the others much more to contact you. Moreover, the texts give you the possibility to address your expectations.

   • Description of the family (family members, interest, hobbies, etc.)
   • Requirements and expectations from the applicant

5. Write your letters to the Au Pair and your family descriptions in all the languages you know, to address as many Au Pairs as possible. It is important to write the profile in the language you want to speak with the Au Pair in the future, respectively the language the Au Pair should talk to the children, or at least in the Au Pair´s mother tongue. 6. Upload pictures! Upload friendly, nice pictures that show the whole family. The more different pictures the better. This way the Au Pairs will have the measure and get a good impression. It is also good to upload pictures of your house/ flat and the Au Pair´s room, so that the Au Pair can get an impression, how you live and what his/ her home for a few months will look like. Even if you don´t want to upload pictures of your family, you should upload a nice picture as a logo (pets, house, Au Pair´s room and so on).
    
7. Upload videos! Uploading videos on AuPair.com, in which you introduce your family and express your wishes and ideas, are very authentic. This way the interested ones will get a great, unique impression of you and you can address everything that is important to you.
    
8. Get the Premium Membership! With the premium membership you can contact all the Au Pairs and send personalized messages, which also allow you to exchange contact details. Furthermore, you can see all profiles in complete. The costs are low in relation to the whole project.
    
9. Be active on AuPair.com. If you log into AuPair.com daily, your profile will be listed on the top and you can directly see and react, if you have been contacted. Besides, you should contact enough Au Pairs yourself to get better chances to find something suitable.
