Au Pair in Canada: visa information

• between 18 and 35 years old
• basic knowledge of English or French
• at least  2500 CAD and a ticket for the flight back to the home country 
• passport valid for the whole stay in Canada 
• health insurance for the duration of your stay — you may have to present evidence of this insurance when you enter Canada

• The Canadian embassy also offers the tool “Come to Canada”. Here it is possible to check if the Au Pair’s nationality is eligible for a Working Holiday Visa.
• The Working Holiday Visa costs 250 CAD$ (170€) and can only be paid by credit card. In addition, there is a fee of about 300 € for a medical exam after your visa application which can just be done by your doctor. The embassy will give you instructions and a form when you apply.
