Dennoch möchten wir gerne darauf hinweisen, wie Betrüger vorgehen, um von dem
Au Pair Programm zu profitieren.
Die Betrüger versuchen einen finanziellen Vorteil aus dem Au Pair Programm zu ziehen. Diese Leute sind weder an einem kulturellen Austausch interessiert, noch daran ein Au Pair aufzunehmen. Sie versuchen, das Vertrauen von Menschen, die an dem Programm teilnehmen zu gewinnen und bei der ersten Gelegenheit Geld von ihnen zu erhalten.
Wenn dich irgendjemand bittet, für etwas im Voraus zu bezahlen, gehe auf keinen Fall darauf ein. Auch wenn es um eine Überweisung von Geld auf ein Konto geht. Das ist die wichtigste Regel, um 100% der Betrugsangriffe abzuweisen.
Es gibt typische Charakteristiken, die falsche AuPair- oder Gastfamilien-Profile zeigen. Wenn du einen der unten genannten Fälle entdeckst, sei vorsichtig und informiere uns.
1. Kontaktdaten
Wenn ein Benutzer seine Kontaktdaten in sein Profil einbaut, zum Beispiel in den Brief an die Gastfamilie oder das Au Pair, sind sie normalerweise Betrüger. Die Premium Mitgliedschaft erlaubt es dir, Kontaktdaten auszutauschen. Auf Grund der Gebühr, die du dafür zahlst, ist es uns möglich, die Plattform für dich sicher zu gestalten. Sich an diesen Richtlinien vorbeischleichen zu wollen, kann unsere Nutzer in Gefahr bringen.
2. Taschengeld
Das Au Pair sollte eine bestimmte Summe an
Taschengeld erhalten. Obwohl die
Hilfe des Au Pairs manchmal unbezahlbar ist, zahlt niemand gravierend mehr als die Standardsummen. Angebote mit einer sehr hohen Summe von Taschengeld sind unseriös.
3. Um Hilfe bitten
Wenn dich ein User informiert, dass etwas Schreckliches passiert ist, wie ein Unfall oder eine Krankheit und er dringend deine Hilfe braucht, dann ist dies normalerweise ein Betrugsversuch. Auch wenn die Nachricht real klingt, ist es nur ein Betrug. Es ist dann besser, nach einem
neuen Match zu suchen.
Wie gehst du Betrügern aus dem Weg? Sei vorsichtig und benutze den normalen Menschenverstand - das ist das Beste, was du tun kannst.
1. Sende kein Geld ins Ausland!
Wenn dich jemand danach fragt, im Voraus Geld zu schicken, gehe nicht darauf ein! Du solltest nicht für irgendetwas im Voraus bezahlen! Du kannst eine

2. Kontaktiere Au Pairs und Gastfamilien nicht außerhalb unserer Plattform, wie z.B. in Sozialen Netzwerken
Soziale Netzwerke, wie Facebook, sind nicht der richtige Ort um ein Au Pair oder eine
Gastfamilie zu finden.
Online Matching Agenturen überprüfen den Hintergrund und die Zuverlässigkeit der User, was Social Media Kanäle nicht machen. Aus unserer Erfahrung heraus wissen wir, dass ca. 80% der Betrüger über Facebook arbeiten. Wir raten dazu, Gastfamilien oder Au Pairs nicht auf diesem Weg zu kontaktieren und sind somit auch nicht in der Lage, euch zu warnen oder zu beschützen, falls ihr diese Regel nicht beachtet.
3. Vereinbart immer ein Video-Interview
Betrüger stimmen in den seltensten Fällen einem
Skype-Gespräch zu, weil sie so ihre wahre Identität preisgeben würden. Wenn ein User sich weigert, in einem Video-Interview mit dir zu sprechen, ist dies keine vertrauenswürdige Person und der Kontakt sollte umgehend abgebrochen werden.
4. Verifiziere NIEMALS deinen Account über persönliche Daten
Weder AuPair.com noch eine andere Website fragt nach einer Verifizierung deines Accounts über die Freigabe persönlicher Daten.

1. Reiseagentur
Wenn du ein Angebot erhältst, das dir bei den
Reisevorbereitungen helfen soll, lies das folgende Beispiel und stelle sicher, dass du auf keinen Fall eine falsche Reiseagentur kontaktierst:
"Contact the ticket agent and make enquiries about the tickets and working permit document from your country to UK and gets back to me via email don't worry about any expenses that this might cost you I shall refund all expenses incurred by you after you get here when I pick you up from the airport, I just want to be sure if you really want to work for me...".
Sobald du das Geld sendest, wirst du nie wieder etwas von dem User hören. Manchmal wird dich der falsche Reiseagent erneut kontaktieren, um nach einer zusätzlichen Zahlung zu fragen, da die erste Zahlung nicht ausreichend ist.
Hier ist ein weiteres Beispiel eines falschen Reiseagenten:
“Dear client,
We got your contact from one of our customer Ms xy who has made a reservation with us to travel Friday the xx of xx from xx to xx.
Her reservation code with us is PP6J4Y/EA/XX
The flight cost is 480 euros with XX
Ms xx has asked us to contact you for payment of the outstanding 480euros.
Once our accountant receives this money, we shall issue an air ticket to Ms xx.
We advise that payment should be made via Western Union since it is faster and easier to send and receive money. This is because we only accept payment via our bank account if payment exceed 2500€ and it will take about a week and more for the payment to mature.”
2. Au Pair, das nicht bei der Familie lebt - die Immobilien-Agentur
Gastfamilien müssen
bestimmte Anforderungen erfüllen, um an dem
Au Pair Programm teilzunehmen. Eine davon ist die kostenlose
Unterkunft im Zuhause der Gastfamilie. Wenn die Gastfamilie gegen die
Regeln des Programms agiert und anbietet, dass du eine Unterkunft außerhalb des Hauses der Familie erhältst, wie z.B. eine Wohnung in der Nähe o.ä., ist dies normalerweise ein Betrugsversuch. Die falsche Gastfamilie wird danach fragen, dass das Au Pair eine relativ niedrige Summe an Geld zu zahlen, damit das Au Pair beweist, dass es finanziell für sie oder ihn möglich ist, in dem Gastland zu leben, bis die Gastfamilie sämtliche Kosten trägt.
Die Gastfamilie schreibt vielleicht, dass es nur eine passende Unterkunft in der Nachbarschaft gibt und es für diese viele weitere Interessenten gibt. Die Gastfamilie wird also dazu raten, schnell zu handeln und sich mit dem Immobilienmakler in Verbindung zu setzen, um die Miete zu bezahlen.
Dies ist ein Beispiel:
“The apartment we have found you is very good and very cheap and I am not sure you can find anything better, also this apartment is next door to us. The estate caretaker confirmed to me that if you do not like the apartment on arrival they will refund all your money but I am very sure you will like the apartment (...)”
3. Falsche Au Pair Agentur
Diese Betrugsmaschen sind besonders gängig bei falschen Gastfamilien, die behaupten, aus den USA zu kommen. Die USA sind bei der
Au Pair Programm Voraussetzungen besonders streng. Hier sehen viele Betrüger ihre Chance ein Au Pair zu locken.
Ein Au Pair muss eine Full-Service Au Pair Agentur nutzen, um in die USA zu können. Diese Agentur muss zusätzlich berechtigt sein, Au Pairs für das
J-1 Visum aufzunehmen.
Viele falsche “amerikanische” Gastfamilien versuchen, dass das Au Pair Kontakt zu einer Agentur aufnimmt, um den Aufenthalt zu planen. Überprüfe, ob diese Agentur tatsächlich existiert.
Das Au Pair hat das recht auszuwählen, wie sie/er den Aufenthalt arrangieren möchte. Niemand sollte dir in diese Entscheidung reinreden.
Die Gastfamilie sollte mit der Planung behilflich sein, aber das Au Pair trifft die Entscheidungen!
4. Der Au Pair Community Agent
Dieser Fall ist ähnlich dem der falschen Agentur. Der Betrüger gibt sich als Vertreter einer Au Pair Community und nicht einer Agentur aus. Dies ist besonders gängig, bei Gastfamilien, die angeblich britisch sind. Es gibt keine Visa Voraussetzungen für Au Pairs aus der Europäischen Union.
Eine falsche Community sendet dem Au Pair Dokumente, die bestätigen sollen, dass diese Community echt sind und dafür sorgen sollen, dass das Au Pair eine Aufnahmegebühr bezahlt.
5. Das perfekte Au Pair
Englisch ist eine der Weltsprachen. Viele Gastfamilien suchen englische Muttersprachler als Au Pair.
Dies ist ein Grund, warum sich Betrüger als Briten, Amerikaner, Australier oder Iren ausgeben. Es ist wirklich schwierig diese von echten Au Pairs zu unterscheiden. Da sie wahrscheinlich keine Muttersprachler sind, werden sie Formulierungen verwenden, die in sehr gutem Englisch geschrieben sind, um eine Verbindung mit der Familie aufzubauen.
“Thanks for your mail, I am 23 years old British. English is my first language but I also speak French too (my current Au pair family is polish). I have been an Au pair for four years now in four countries. My maximum Au pair in a home has been one year in Scotland I have worked for the Nathalie Hawn family (Scotland) I have also worked for Isabella Reinaldo family(Portugal) Before leaving for Yaounde, Republic of Cameroon where I now work with the Technical assistant of SNV, a Dutch NGO present all over the world. My current family is polish and I am leaving them because my contract has ended. I have been with them for one year, on a good salary, with lovely kids. (...)”.
Diese falschen Au Pairs erzählen Gastfamilien, dass sie die wirklich perfekte Gastfamilie sind. Sie sagen, dass sie nicht genügend Geld haben, um den Flug, die
Versicherung oder andere Ausgaben zu tragen. Ihre eigene Familie kann ihnen nicht helfen, deshalb werden sie fragen, ihnen Geld zu schicken und dieses dann vom loh abzuziehen
“Thanks for your mail.I understand your fears and worries. I don't expect that you pay for my flight ticket.I have been an Au pair for a couple of years and know the rules.If it were not for the expensive flights, I would have bought the ticket by now. I had budgeted for flight but never knew they shall be this expensive. If only I had not been saving for school in an irrevocable account from which I can only withdraw in Sept 2016, I would have withdrawn some money towards the cost of this ticket”
6. Das Au Pair ist am Flughafen stecken geblieben
Dieser Fall ist normalerweise mit dem oberen verknüpft. Das
perfekte Au Pair mit tollen Referenzen, extrem viel Erfahrung und einer charmanten Art, sitzt nun verloren an einem Flughafen in einem anderen Land und kommt dort nicht weg. Es gab einen schrecklichen Unfall und das Au Pair kann das Land nicht verlassen! Das Flugticket ist nicht mehr gültig, also muss sie/er ein neues Ticket buchen.
Nachdem das Geld gesendet wurde, werdet ihr nie wieder von dem Au Pair hören und das Geld ist weg. Wenn ihr die Reisekosten des Au Pairs teilen wollt, könnt ihr dem Au Pair das Geld dafür nach der
Ankunft in Raten zahlen.
7. Die Gastfamilie sendet Schecks
Die falsche Gastfamilie wird dir Emails schreiben und dir falsche Schecks schicken, um dich glauben zu lassen, dass sie dich wirklich als ihr Au Pair haben wollen. Ein paar Emails später, nachdem du das “Geld” erhalten hast und ihr beide den Konditionen deines Aufenthalts zugestimmt habt, wirst du schreckliche Nachrichten erhalten: Frau und Kinder sind in einem Autounfall ums Leben gekommen, deshalb wirst du nun nicht mehr gebraucht. Du wirst deshalb darum gebeten, das Geld zurück zu schicken. Nach einiger Zeit wird die Zahlung der Familie zurückgezogen und du wirst zweimal so viel Geld verlieren, wie du erhalten hast.
Unten findest du einen Fall, der leider bei einem Au Pair vorgefallen ist. Er ist ein wenig anders, aber das System ist das gleiche:
“I had no money for accommodation and “the host mother” said she would hold a conversation with her partner and they will send me money to rent accommodation. The mother of the fake Host Family send me money by her partner Paypal account. She wanted to pay the rent for accommodation with them for three months, but after a while I decided that this was unreal and I decided to return all money. She did not want to receive the money back in her partner Paypal account. She told me to go to the local Moneygram office and send her money via Moneygram. 1 month later her partner made chargeback "unauthorized payment" of the money that they sent through Paypal. I was cheated!”
8. Die Gastfamilie zieht bald um
Die falsche Gastfamilie möchte dich glauben lassen, dass du das perfekte Au Pair bist. Vor allem weil sie bald in deine Stadt ziehen. Alles wird neu für sie sein und wegen all dieser Veränderungen brauchen sie ein Au Pair. Um sicher zu gehen, dass du ihr Au Pair wirst, werden sie dir womöglich sogar eine gewisse Summe an Geld schicken, wenn du ein
Konto bei einer speziellen Bank eröffnest.
Später wird die Familie nach dem Geld fragen. Die vorherige Zahlung wurde zurückgezogen.
9. AuPair.com Referenzen
AuPair.com checkt die Mitglieder täglich. Wenn wir Betrüger finden, senden wir Warnungen an alle User, die mit dem Betrüger in Kontakt standen. Wir haben uns hier noch nie vertan und wir werden nie eine Nachricht schreiben, dass wir unsere Meinung geändert haben.
Betrüger schicken Nachrichten “im Auftrag von” AuPair.com wie folgt:
“This is to inform you that you were recently contacted by aupair.com team about the Family of Lewis Anthony [lewyanthonemailaddress@gmail.com] from United Kingdom which we earlier informed you may be fraud or scammer. We wish to inform you that we have re investigated and have found out that they are a real and genuine family from the documents which we requested from them. You are requested to go ahead and share any personal documents or travel details with the family; we have apologized with them for tarnishing their image on the aupair.com website and to aupair applicants. We hereby confirm them to be genuine. We also request you to report us the family on support@aupair.com if you also find that family is fraud or scammer during anytime of job offer discussion with family. Kind regards, AuPair.com”
Wenn du jemals eine Nachricht, ähnlich der oberen erhältst, kannst du zu 100% sicher sein, dass dies ein Betrugsversuch ist. AuPair.com teilt keine Emailadressen unserer User und wird niemals ähnliche Nachrichten versenden. Wenn du solch eine Nachricht erhältst, informiere uns bitte umgehend.
10. Der Anwalt
Diese Betrugsmasche ist der der falschen Au Pair Agentur sehr ähnlich. Das Au Pair wird über den Familienanwalt kontaktiert werden. Dieser Anwalt wird seine Hilfe für den Papierkram, wie das
Visum anbieten, vielleicht sogar für die zukünftige
Unterkunft. Der Anwalt wird anbieten, dir mit der Anforderung des polizeilichen Führungszeugnisses und dem Attest zu helfen, ohne die unnötigen Formalitäten. Das Au Pair muss nur einen gewissen Betrag an Geld überweisen und eine Kopie des Reisepasses, Personalausweises und anderen Dokumenten senden. Wenn du dieses Geld sendest, ist es garantiert sofort weg und du wirst es nie mehr wieder sehen.
Überweise niemals Geld. Lies mehr über das
Au Pair Programm. Es gibt wirklich keinen Grund, für irgendetwas Geld im Voraus zu bezahlen.
Hier ein Beispielfall:
“He contacted me via aupair.com, and after some conversations, we agreed that I would travel to UK to work as an au pair in his home. He sent me some form to fulfil ("Visa application", the contract, etc). I did it. Another requirement was to send a copy of a deposit receipt to UK (to proof funds to enter to the UK) in my name. It was only to prove I had the money to "live" there, so I could collect my money once installed in the UK. At first I didn't suspect anything because the deposit was made in my name (It was me the only person that was able to take the money). But as I sent to him a copy of the deposit, and also a copy of my passport he was able to collect my money (I don't know how).”

Wenn deine Login-Daten durch Phishing gestohlen wurden, erhalten die Betrüger Zugriff auf deinen Account und können Familien in deinem Namen betrügen.
Wie funktioniert’s?
Die Betrüger kontaktieren dich über einen Fake Account. Sobald sie deine Emailadresse kennen, werden sie dir eine Email mit der Bitte um eine
Account Verifizierung schicken. Diese Anfrage soll so aussehen, als wurde sie von uns verschickt. Sie wird mit AuPair.com unterschrieben sein und sogar die Emailadresse wird wie einer unserer Adressen aussehen. Dennoch würden wird AuPair.com niemals nach einer Account Verifizierung fragen oder deinen Account ohne Grund blockieren.
Was passiert jetzt?
Wenn du deine Emailadresse und dein Passwort auf einer Phishing Seite eingibst, bekommen die Betrüger deine Logindaten. Sie können auf deinen Account zugreifen, auf den nun du und die Betrüger Zugriff haben.
Dein Account, der vertrauenswürdig und bestätigt ist, wird nun missbraucht. Dies bringt alle in ernste Gefahr. Die Betrüger werden Au Üairs oder Gastfamilien in deinem Namen kontaktieren, um ihr Vertrauen und ihre Kontaktdaten zu gewinnen und diese, wie bereits beschrieben, zu nutzen

Leider, ja. Aktuell haben Betrüger begonnen, gestohlenen Profilen neue Passwörter zu geben. Wenn du dich nicht mehr mit deinem Account einloggen kannst, verlangen die Betrüger Geld für die Reaktivierung deines Accounts. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Paul is in 1st Grade. He has grown up so fast. He loves to laugh and play. He is a sweet little boy who likes everyone. Everything is a new and exciting experience for him. It is a great age.
I usually work 5 days a week. I could work on Saturdays and Sundays if needs be. I work on a contractual basis with the U.S. Army. I often times get posted to the Army bases across Europe and Americas. So I travel a lot. Although, i am not a soldier. I only help them with the technical installation of some mechanical devices. Paul will be attending his classes Mondays-Fridays. As you can see, you will have plenty of time to yourself the days he is in school. I am offering you 3600 USD monthly. I know this seems crazy and incredible, but my son is my all, and i see no reason why one should not be able to spend this much on one's beloved child. He is my all, and he is the reason why i still live and work. Not many offer this much anyways.
Paul and I enjoy going out to dinner and to the pictures once a month. This is our way of spending some quiet time together. We try and make weekend’s family time. We might go to the park, a movie or out to eat. You are always welcome to join us. That will be up to you. We know you will have things you will want to do in your free time and only have two years in The United States to do them all (Only if you would like to extend).
Our ideal au pair or nanny is very simple to describe. It is someone who will love and care for the kid as if he is his/her own. We believe in honesty and open communication. Never hesitate to come to us if you need to ask a question or you need our help in some way.
Well, I hope these give you an idea of what our family is like and how excited we are for you to be a part of it during your years in The USA. We will do our very best to make you feel like a part of the family!
However, if we are to make any progress as regards this offer, you would have to shoulder a half of your visa expenses. Reason being that, in the new decree of the US Immigration, Employer and Foreign Employee have to halve the visa fees for the visa application. This new law was passed as a result of increasing influx of Employment Visa Applications from applicants of different nationalities. This measure is invoked with the objective of being aware of the applicant's financial capability which will determine if they will be able to take care of themselves when they arrive or not, as 50% of the application fees will be refunded (Successful or unsuccessful). Thus, my hands are tied, and therefore not able to pay fully for your application. As such, if you have the willingness to move on, write the consulate which will help with the Employment Visa Application.Write to them to inquire what is required to acquire an Employment Visa to The US. My Lawyer and I have a good bond with the consulate, as we have been dealing with them for many years, and never get disappointed by them. By the way, My Lawyer's name is Attorney Easton. I am sure you as well know it is hard to come by a U.S. Employment Visa. So, to make this successful and easier than one would normally encounter, i propose we proceed this way.
For the interview, i would fix up a session for it, probably when i am back in the U.S. I am currently here in Italy on a consultation in a US military base here. So, i will let you know when is the right time for it.

I am just returning from the local travel agencies over here to see what they can offer.
The Air Master flight agency has also offered me a flight at 441€ on 19th September to Madrid.
The agency have reserve a seat for me and have advice that I pay for the flight as soon as possible since they have just one seat left and the flight cost might increase in time.
Presently I have struggled to raise 260€ in which I have deposited the money at the agency and have promised to pay the balance as soon as possible.

Life over here has been great and more than what I imagined and it has been a wonderful experience!
I administered all necessary vaccines before coming over and my health has been excellent as I do regular check up. I also do have a valid health insurance.

Also, I have been searching for the flights but they seem expensive.
